About Us

The Forster Family has been raising alpacas on the gentle, scenic slopes of Grass Hill in Williamsburg, Massachusetts since 2006. The alpacas are shorn annually and the fiber is pooled with that of other local herdspeople and processed by a partnering company, the New England Alpaca Fiber Pool, that produces quality knitted products which we are proud to share with you! Many of our socks, mittens, gloves, scarves, and hats are made entirely here in New England!

During the fall season you’ll may find us at local harvest festivals and craft fairs in the Connecticut River valley and from Stockbridge to Orange. In November we open ‘Back Porch PacaStop, the family-run Cold-Weather Boutique located on our back porch, oddly enough. Feel free to stop by for a visit. If you can’t find us you’ll always find the alpacas and you’ll discover that they are attentive listeners.
